Criminal prosecution for bad food service?
Can a restaurant require you to pay for a meal that you are dissatisfied with and if you refuse to pay threaten you with criminal litigation?

They can "threaten" to do just about anything. However, I don't see how this would be theft as there is no mens rea or criminal intent. Why do you ask?
Re: Criminal prosecution for bad food service?
It is all a matter of degree. If you eat the entire mean no one is going to believe that you are
dissatisfied with the food. Food should be rejected
early on in order to avoid suspicion that you are
just trying to get someting for nothing.
