criminal record check

was originally charged with aggravated assult then plead down to a ordinace violation will that first charge show when a criminal check is done

Depends on the check they do. It will show up as an arrest, not a conviction. I suggest you expunge the whole thing so nothing shows up.

I agree with the other guru that it depends what the "this" means in a sense. For example, the arrest record for the aggravated assault will remain until a petition for expungement is filed with court. Ordinance violations can be expunged after two years but convictions are supposed to remain ONLY AT THE LOCAL MUNICIPALITY. Consequently, an expungement is always the best route. A blemish on one's record may influence future actions in your life adversely so removing this is best.
