Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey
Criminal Record Error
My boyfriend, who is currently incarerated on a different conviction, has found out that a prior conviction is wrongly listed in his history as Arson. It states a guilty felony conviction for NJ2C18-2, deg. 3 Arson. NJ2C18-2 is Burglary, what he was charged with. This was for an arrest in 1990, and sentenced in 1991. What can he do to have this corrected?

Re: Criminal Record Error
You can obtain a certified copy of the disposition of the 1990 case in 1991 from the court in which the case was handled. The will need his date of birth and perhaps his social security number.
