With the charges you have cited for your daughter I suggest you speak with an attorney as sooon as possible. You can call my office anytime to set up a free consultation to talk about the situation. (732)247-3340.
She has been charged with possessing a controlled dangerous substance while operating a motor vehicle; drinking an alcoholic beverage while in a motor vehicle; being under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance; possession or drinking of an alcoholic beverage by an underage person and possessin of a controlled dangerous substance. The last offense charged
is a third degree crime in New Jersey.
She could lose her driving privileges for years. The third degree offense is punishable by up to
five years of imprisonment, although first offenders are usually placed on probation upon conviction.
She needs to hire an attorney immediately.
Call me if you like.
These are extremely serious charges that can result in having a criminal record, going to jail, paying thousands of dollars in fines, and losing her driver's license for several years. She needs an experienced attorney such as myself to defend her immediately. At the very least she should not go to court even once without a lawyer. Please call me to discuss your daughter's case in more detail. I never charge for simply talking to a person about their case. Thank you.
Sincerely yours, -Ronald Aronds, Esq.-
