Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey

I was a defendant in a criminal case ( held in municipal court) about a year ago, I was charged with trepassing, theft, & breaking & entering. My lawyer made an offer to the plaintiff that they be paid restitution, the plaintiff agreed & so did the judge, an undisclosed amount was paid to the plaintiff directly from me to my lawyer & mailed to the plaintiff in a cashiers check via certified mail, also proof to the judge that the plaintiff in fact rec'd restitution. After this was complete the case was done. Over a year later, I am now receiving papers from municipal court to appear as a witness for the prosecution against the plaintiffs sister for the same charges. Is it legal for me to be subpeonaed to be a witness for the prosecution for the same case that I was a defendant in against the plaintiffs sister?
