Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey
Is a defendant entitled to jail credits in NJ after he waived extradition from NY while having a pending charge in NY and 13 months in at the time of extradition to NJ. Charges in NY are still pending after he got extradited to NJ. so being that he never got sentenced in ny, isn't he entitled the 13 mo. jail credit while he was waiting on extradition? if he is entitled, under what law is it?
