does third degree charges mean prison?
my public defender says that i must do 5 years minimum for third degree burglery, third degree posession of gun and third degree illegal sale of gun. eventhough i helped the police get the guns back that my friend sold they say i still have to go to jail....hep

You never have to do anything when it comes to plea deals. There are always ways around these issues. For example, I had a guy who had a Brimage offer of 10 with 45. That eventually went down to 7 with a 2. By the time I was done, it was time served which came out to be about 9 months.
However, every case is different so I would have to look at your case and speak with the AP.

Third degree crimes and lesser usually means probation for a first offender, but multiple third degree offenses could be a problem.
