Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey

Driving while suspended/over 3 years ago

I am trying to find out if there is any statue of limitations on a ticket issued over 3 years ago in which I tried to appear in court and plead guilty to. Called up and was told not to bother them, they'll get back to me. Now that I have gotten things on the right track , they want to prosecute me for this charge. 3 Years later.

Right to a Speedy Trial

You should check with a lawyer in your state as to your right to speedy trial. This may be a good defense for you. Good Luck!
