drug possession

i have been charged with a violation

of 2c : 35-10a in jersy city, nj. the

detectives want me to call the dealer

to make a drug bust which i am

against doing? what is the penalty

for this crime (1 gram of cocaine)?

You are charged with a third degree crime which has

maximum, possbile period of imprisonment of five years. As a first offender there would be a presumption of probation instead of a prison or jail sentence. As a first offender you are eligible

for a dismissal of the charge following a period of supervision by the county probation department by participating in the first offender program available under the Controlled Dangerous Substance

Act.
