It is a crime of the second degree, punishable by up to ten years in prison with a period of parole ineligilitity.

Depending upon the amount in question you are facing anywhere from 3 years minimum to 20 years maximum if you are convicted (see NJSA 2C:35-5 and 2C:35-7). Generally, 3 to 5, unless you have more than a half ounce, then at that point, you are looking at 5 to 10. I strongly suggest you get an attorney.
