Third degree eluding is a third degree crime with a possible maximum period of imprisonment of five years. A jail sentence is possible depending upon the nature of the eluding.

The marijuana charge is a minor offense.

Re: eluding police w/ cdc

On any third degree crime you are looking at up to 5 years in state prison, and on the CDS charge you are probably talking about under 50 grams of marijuana so this is a Disorderly Persons Offense where you are facing up to 6 months in the county jail. Depending upon what your criminal history looks like, there may be a way to get these charges dismissed. I am an attorney who has handled many cases similar to yours in various courts throughout New Jersey in the past. Please contact me to discuss your case in more detail. I never charge for simply talking to a person about their case. Thank you.
