Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey
My ex-fiance has applied for a TRO based on ongoing e-mail and text traffic. No threats are involved, but I have turned him in to the authorities for some past behaviors (odometer fraud, social security fraud, etc.). Do I need an attorney? Could I be subject to criminal penalties for this?

You might consider that those convicted of domestic violence turn up on the border computers
at airports and on the patrol police officer's car computer and are viewed as tending toward violence. Additionally, professional licenses can be affected by a domestic violence finding. You need to hire an attorney. Call me, if you like.
While the obtasining of a TRO is civil in nature the violation of a FRO is criminal. I suggest you retain an Attorney such as myself as soon as possible.
