Re: expungement
Almost 100% "NO". See N.J.S. 2C:52-2b., which says that convictions for Endangering the Welfare of a Child under N.J.S. 2C:24-4a and N.J.S. 2C:24-4b(4)can NOT be expunged.

Re: expungement
It depends on how the child's welfare was endangered. If there was sexual misconduct a conviction for endangering the welfare of a minor can not be expunged. Any charge which does not result in a conviction can be expunged.

expungement
The answer is a big fat "It depends." If the charge was dismissed, the answer is yes. If the person was found guilty, then it depends on whether the matter involved sexual conduct. If the matter involved sexual conduct, it cannot be expunged. If the matter did not involve sexual conduct and the person meets other statutory requirements, then the charge can be expunged.

With a hope and a prayer. It all starts with consulting with a good attorney before you do anything. You need to put up a big fight and it may cost you a decent amount of money, but it should be worth it to have no record.
