Re: failure to appear
When a person files a charge, that person becomes a witness for the state. In most municipal courts, warrants are nor generally issued against citizen complainants for failing to appear. However, the prosecutor could issue a subpoena requiring you to appear, and if you failed to do so, you could be held in contempt of court. Obviously, if you do not appear in court, the complaint you signed will most likely be dismissed.
