Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey
Federal Background check
A N.J. state facility did a federal and state background check on me. In 2000 I had two felony charges filed against me, but plead guilty to a misdemeanor charge. I was never convicted of the two original charges, but they are still showing up on the federal background check, but not the state. Can I get them removed since I was never convicted of them?
