Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey

felony records

Would a 20 year old New Jersey aggravated arson felony charge be listed as a federal felony as well? Would it still be on the records? Would it show up on an FBI fingerprint background check?

Re: felony records

A state conviction is not a felony conviction. They don't go away, so they will show up. Ever talk to someone about an expungement. I don't know off hand if you are eligible.

My initial consultations are always free, so call me at 732/247/3340 to discuss your case.

Re: felony records

Fingerprints are submitted to state and federal authorities. The federal authority is the Federal Bureau of Investingation. The records of state and federal criminal convictions are transmitted to the State and to the F.B.I.
