Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey
felony
A 21 year old, first time offender, arrested but not indicted yet for a felony theft under $80. Applying for PTI program. Its been close to a month. Atty says ''no news is good news''. Is it looking good because the prosecutor isn't moving faster on it? Thanks

Re: felony
Your question is a bit odd because theft of less than $200.00 is not a crime or felony. It is a disorderly persons offense to be handled in municipal court.
Call me if you like.

Re: felony
I agree with Mr. Moore. Your question makes no sense. Either your attorney does not know what he or she is doing or you do not understand what is going on. Either way, I suggest you fix this situation ASAP.
