Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey
My fiance has been put in jail for something he did not do. A guy he knew was arrested on a hand gun charge. He told the police that it wasnt his gun and said it was my fiance's. So they took the guys word and arrested my fiance. He was no where near this guy and his gun.Now the guy has written my fiance a letter saying he was sorry for not telling the truth, and he will sign a Affidavit and tell the truth. What should we do?

Bring me the letter and then I will have the guy come to my office to sign an affidavit and then I will use the affidavit to seek the dismissal of the charge.
Call me, if you like, at 800/273/7933.

Hire a good attorney and let the attorney handle this. Anything you do on your own could be considered witness tampering.
You should hire a lawyer to represent your fiancee and properly act to get the charge dismissed. If you already have a lawyer then you need to bring this issue to their attention.
