filing for a motion
i would like to file a motion in the nj supreme court for removal of my name from the sex offender website. my case is 20 years old and i havent had as much as a traffic ticket since then. does anyone know how to start this proceding?

I'd be more than happy to discuss this with you. The "first class" of Megan's Law defendants will not be able to file a motion to get off of ML until 2009. Thus, your motion may be a little early. However, you can file a motion to get down to Tier 1. I just had one of those the other day.

There is a way to do it if you have been offense free for fifteen years. It is not automatically granted, however, just because you have stayed out of trouble. Please contact me to discuss your case in more detail. I never charge for simply talking to a person about their case. Thank you.
