Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey
Possible Fraud situation
I have a friend whose mother is using her social security number and forging her signature to try to get her as a cosignor for a loan. She has applied for many loans in my friend's name. We are concerned that this will ruin her credit. What kind of action can she take against her mother?

Re: Possible Fraud situation
The only real action that can take place is for your fiend to report this to the police. This will probably result in your friend's mother being prosecuted and convicted, which could mean fines, jail time, and a criminal record for your friend's mom. If this is something your friend is comfortable doing, then that is what she should do.
