Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey
A friend of mine was caught shoplifting (video tape, $30) in NJ state. This happened in 1997. Would this still be on her criminal record, and if so how can she get rid of this record. This happened to her once and ever since she maintains a clean record - outstanding citizen.

She can petition the Superor Court to expunge her criminal conviction.
Yes, and she can wipe it off her record. She can call me at 732/773/2768 to discuss it further.
She can wipe it out and have a clean record, if she applies to the Court for an 'expungement'. I have done several of these, and would be happy to talk to her. Have her give me a call, make an appointment to come see me, and I will go over this with her. No charge for the consultation.

She can file for an expungement of her record. I can help her with this if she likes. Please contact me to discuss this case in more detail. I never charge for simply talking to a person about their case. Thank you.
