Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey
Harrassment charges
I got a notice in the mail from a woman who has been dealing with my boyfriend of 15 years and who is the father of both my children. This situation stems back for 6 years b-c that's how long we have been goin back and forth about her dealing with him, this is her 1st time filing charges and she is a new lawyer herself. recently i found a ''sim'' card that she was paying for so that they could conatct each other, she sent him a text and we were going back and forth via text messaging. after i stopped texting her she then called my house phone, we had more words, cursing and yelling, i hung up and she called an additonal 3 times. i havent heard anything about it anymore until today..do u think that i need an laywer?

If you have been charged with harassment by an attorney you need an attorney.

Re: Harrassment charges
You are facing criminal charges so yes, I would strongly suggest you get one. In fact, some judges I know will not even let you proceed until you at least have a public defender.
Not only should you get an attorney to help with this charge, but you should try to find one that can end this nightmare for you.
My initial consultations are always free, so call me at 732/247/3340 to discuss your case.
