Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey

Harrassment while on parole

I was recently released on parole and prior to being released me & my girlfriend decided to end our relationship. Now I am dating someone else but I am having problems with the ex, she has this whole parole thing hanging over my head and she is threating to call my parole officer and tell him I'm violating my restrictions and harrassing her. None of this is true and I do not call, E-mail or talk about her to anyone because I do not want to get in trouble or go back. There is no proof of me doing anything wrong but I do know how the parole works, now my question is what could I do?? Tell my parole officer? restraining order? I do not want to ignore this and have to worry what she is going to do. Thanks

Re: Harrassment while on parole

If I was you I would contact my parole officer, tell him what is going on with your ex, and ask him if he advises you to apply for a restraining order. It is always better for him to hear it from you than from her. I am an attorney who has handled many criminal cases in New Jersey in the past. If you would like to discuss this or any other criminal or other types of legal matters, please call me at 908-272-0111. There is never any charge for a consulation on a case. Good luck. You should tell your parole office about the problem so that he will be prepared to hear from your former girlfriend.
