Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey

harrassment

this is probably a strange question and one that maybe law enforcement is not very interested in,but i go on an adult sex chat site,and i am being harrassed by another member on there,physical threats and other things have been said.what exactly would this person have to say to me for me to pursue bringing up charges on them. iknow this is kinda silly but he threatens me on a daily basis and im tired of it.i just wanna know what i can do

If you can actually identify the person who is doing this to you and print out the threats the person is making, you can bring them to the police and ask them to bring criminal charges against the person doing this to you.

A lot of this is going to depend on where the person lives. If this person is in the same state or otherwise near you (over the border) then you should be ok. Otherwise, I doubt anyone would really care. You could always report it and see what happens.
