Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey

Harrassment/Terroristic Threats/Underage Drinking charges

Myself and three others cursed out two NJ State Troopers over the phone, after they identified themselves, because we are foolish.

We were on the phone to set up a fight with against another kid (who called the cops, and then put them on the phone). Eventually, we hung up on them, thinking, ''maybe they are police''. The police had the kid (the one who called the police against us) repeatedly call us back, and tell us to meet up with him, and unknown to us, the police as well, outside of one of the kids homes who was with myself(Entrapment?) As we pulled onto the street, we were surrounded by two cars, our driver rolled his window down, asking ''what is wrong officers?'' (literally), and was punched in the face (police brutality?) They then proceeded to armbar the person sitting next to me, after they got out with their hands behind their back, and the front passenger was struck by the police as well. After a few minutes of basically ''talking shit'' on us, the police were about to let us go, and then decided, ''These kids smell like a bar'' (again, literally). Under that statement, we were all arrested, but never, ever, breathalized or given any sobriety test.

My question is this, Can I sue the shit out of these assholes and win?

What is the status of the case? First you need to win that. Then we can talk about law suits and such.

My intial consultations are always free, so call me at 732/247/3340 to discuss your case.

It seems to me that you must get out of the trouble which you are in first before you sue anyone. At some point you will have to stop doing things and think about what you have done to yourself.

Call me if you want.

Re: Harrassment/Terroristic Threats/Underage Drinking charges

Please remember that you have to file a specific document called a Notice Of Tort Claim within 90 days of the date of the incident before you can sue any government official. If you don't then you will be forever barred from filing a lawsuit. Usually to win such a suit you have to prevail on the criminal charges against you. Please contact me if you are seeking legal representaiton on the criminal charges. I never charge for simply discussing a case with a person.

You really need to take care of the criminal defense portion of your case before you consider filing a notice of tort claim. Feel free to call me in the office to discuss your defense against the charges.
