Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey
Hiding the birth of a child from parent
My wife had our last baby in secret because we were not talking. Her mother and sister helped keep the fact from me. Is there anything that I can do legally. Do they have the right to keep information pertaining to the birth of one of my children from me.

Re: Hiding the birth of a child from parent
This sounds like more of a family matter than a criminal one. The short answer is that yes, you can do something about it. Generally speaking, you have the same right to a relationship with that child so long as paternity is not an issue. We have an attorney on staff who handles matrimonial matters who can guide you accordingly. [email protected]
