Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey
Hi,
I got a ticket while trying to ride on PATH. I have some question about summons based on NJ Statute 32:1.146.8 (4):
1. Is it criminal or civil offense? Is it part of violations bureau? As per mail from court, I will have to appear in court
2. If I plead guilty, will that be considered as "convicted"? Will it be on my background record? My main concern is whether it is worth fighting for?

You are apparently charged with some sort of municipal oridinance. If you ask the question, the answer has to be that you should exercise care now because you may suffer long term damage to your employment prospects. Call me if you like.
