Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey

My husband missed 2 court dates in 2001 because he says he was unaware. He was living with his brother and may have not been contacted due to address issues or his brother may have not communicated receiving mail or a call. He has not been fleeing and lived in NY for almost 4 years now. he has now been arrested and remanded but if he was aware, we would have gone to NJ to resolve the matter. Should we fight extradition to walk into NJ w/ his own lawyer to request bond reinstatement and quashing of the warrant?

Does he have a lawyer in NJ already? If so, he should follow his/her advice. I'm not sure it makes much sense to fight this because its not going to go away on its own. A good lawyer should be able to clear this up in NJ so its done forever. Feel free to call me at 732/773/2768 to discuss this case in more detail.

My advice is to post whatever bail there is and then hire a criminal defense lawyer in New Jersey to address whatever the charge is against your husband. Please contact me to disucss this case in more detail. I never charge for simply talking to a person about their case. Thank you.
