Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey

my husband received a speeding ticket in the state of NJ for $220. He did not pay this ticket as he recently moved and did not receive any mail. The ticket has now received a contempt charge and there is a warrant out for his arrest. He unfortunately cannot pay this ticket as he does not have a job and only receives SSI. i need to kno if it will be in his best interest to go to court and talk to the prosecutor?

He needs to respond to the court to have the warrant recalled. He should call the court and advise of his situation and why he has not appeared in court as required and take proof of his

SSI benefits to court with him and speak to the prosecutor.

He certainly must contact the court immediately. If he doesn't he can ber arrested. The court will take into consideration his financial situation and work out some type of payment plan for him.

Sincerely yours, -Ronald Aronds, Esq,-
