identity theft
Nov. 2001: I did a DUMB thing and stole $45,000 from a friend's insurance money she recieved after her husband's death. I tricked her into giving me a check forged it and took the money. Sept. 2006: she finds out what I did locates me and confronts me. I confessed, apologized, and make agreement to re-pay. She get a new boyfriend who is now involved saying I owe HIM money...Oct 7, 2006: tells me that she will consider the $45,000 as a loan to me. We make a notarized loan agreement, with the terms that i pay $250/wk, + find some way to re-pay full amount in one year, I agreed because HE threatened that I will go to jail etc...I was scared. Feb.2007: lost my job and spoke with HER to see what I can do...she says to take my time.JUNE 2007:got a job and would like to do an arrangement, I earn less but am willing to re-pay every cent. OCT 6th 2007: the agreement expires, what can happen now? She is willing to make new arrangement, but she is scared of HIM. She secretly told me that he is an illegal immigrant who was deported and he re-entered the USA and lives under a ''purchased'' name, she thinks he wants the $$ for himself...can i use this to take him off my back? I dont care if she garnishes my wages but he needs leave me alone..

Re: identity theft
You keep posting this. The answer is that if the DA or the Fed cares enough to prosecute, you could go to jail. If you owe the money, they can sue you. You should retain an attorney.
