Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey
Indictable Offense
Hello,
I would like to know if being charged with possession of a prescription substance without a prescription is an indictable charge? What if you take the statute of limitations? Is this gone from you records in 7 years when you plead guilty? I just would like to know really if it is your only offense and if it is an inidctable one, thank you!

Re: Indictable Offense
Yes, it is an indictable offense. Depending on the amount it can be 3rd degree or up. If the plea or judgement is to a poss. charge only, than this matter can be expunged from your record. Expunged means removed from your criminal case history.
