How much time do you serve on a 9 month flat jail sentence?

Although each case is unique, and a variety of factors can affect the actual amount of time you would serve, usually on a "flat" sentence you wuold be required to serve at least half the time before you would become parole eligible.

This may not be fair, but the amount of time you will serve on a 9 month sentence varies dramatically based on the county you are in. 9 months will be served in county jail, not state prison. It is therefore under the control of the policies of the local county. Other factors such as the nature of the charges will also effect how much time you will actually serve.
