If you are found guilty in criminal court and a judgement is put against you to pay restitution can another judgement be put against you in civil court for the same money?I was ordered by the court to pay no less than 400 a month. then they put a civil suit and kept my half of the sale of my home is that possible? Please help Can't afford lawyer.

I'd have to see the documentation related to all of this, but in general if you are ordered to pay restitution then your assets can be ordered seized to pay off the restitution amount. However, I cannot give you a definitive answer as to yor personal case without seeing the various court orders related to them.
