To pick up on Mr. Moore's point, to explain it in simple terms, it takes all of the discretion away from the prosecutor on the case and it calls for terms of parole ineligibility. Its a really tough law and I suggest you get a very good attorney to fight for you here.

Brimage is a court opinion which requires that plea bargaining and sentencing be standardized for the entire state, resulting in the Brimage Guidelines which closely resemble the federal sentencing guidelines.
