Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey
Lawyer who represented defendent now represents witness
A witness against me in a criminal matter hired the same lawyer who used to represent me on past matters, including helping to make bail on this case. The lawyer cut a deal for the witnes to testify against me. Is this allowed? Can I file for Mis trial or appeal if I lose my case.

There is a HUGE conflict of interest problem. The lawyer should not represent the witness. Make a motion.
Call me if you like.
