legal representation

We filed a criminal complaint in municipal court. Will the court provide us legal representation or must we seek our own lawyer?

Re: legal representation

You will not be appointed a lawyer if you filed a criminal complaint.

Re: legal representation

The municipal prosecutor may choose to handle the case, but you do have the option to retain a private attorney to step in as the role of the prosecutor.

Re: legal representation

Normally, the municipal court prosecutor would be involved in your case, although, sometimes, he or

she might decline to participate in a case not filed by a police officer. If the prosecutor declines being involved in your case can hire a

private attorney to represent you; I have acted in this role, as an attorney, many times.

Call me if you like.
