Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey

License Suspended

Can New Jersey suspend a Texas license for not appearing for court in New Jersey? I am from Texas and have a Texas CDL and did not appear in court in New Jersey. It was over a domestic dispute. My word against the officers. I guess there the state takes it over because the other involved denied everything. I was taken in and released the same night...no bail was needed

Re: License Suspended

NJ can only suspend your driving privileges in NJ. What another State does as a result of NJ's actions is up to that State. I suggest you get an attorney to clear this up for you. You may not even have to actually appear in court.

My initial consultations are always free, so call me at 732/247/3340 to discuss the case.

Re: License Suspended

Your license in Texas could be suspended due to a license suspension in New Jersey. You should check with Texas motor vehicles BEFORE this happens. I could appear in court for you, with your affidavit, authorizing same and resolve your New Jersey traffic ticket.

Call me if you like.
