Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey
I live in NJ some kids threw a bunch of mud and stones at my car as I drove by, i lost my temper and chased them with a stick. Nothing happened and the kids ran away. what kind of trouble can i get in?

Well it sounds that both of you committed criminal acts. They can charge you with attempted aggrevated assault and road rage.
