Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey

Living with sibling who has violated probation...

My parents and myself (all adults) are living in a home with my brother(an adult)and who has violated probation twice on drug charges. The police came to the house and came inside to arrest him. However, he was soon released. It looks likely he might violate probation again. Are there any consequences my parents and I would face by living in the house with this sibling? Is it legal for them to raid the house and arrest us, even though my parents and I have committed no crime, just for having him live here? Also would the police need a search warrant or just a warrant for my brother's parole violation in order to come inside?

The police CAN arrest the occupants of a house where drugs are found. This does not mean that everyone will be found guilty but they would be placed in jeopardy of being found guilty.

The police can re-enter with a search or arrest warrant or, in emergent circumstances, with probable cause to believe that illicit drugs are being kept on the premises. You can call me at 800 273 7933 to discuss your legal questions and/or to make an appointment for a consultation.
