The charge is theft of immovable property. The maximum, possible sentence depends upon the value of the thing alleged to be stolen. Under $200 has a maximum sentence of six months in jail. $200 to $499 has a maximum sentence of 18 months in prison. $500 to $74999.99 has a maximum, possible sentence of five years in prison. $75,000 has a maximum sentence of ten years in prison and it is presumed that, upon conviction, there will be a prison sentence.
