Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey

I was charged with a mesdameanor by the feds. if i get probation or house arrest, will that mean that i will not be able to have any contact with an individual who is currently incarcerated in the federal system? (via mail or phone calls).

Usually you would not be restricted from having any contact with the person you described. However, this is really something you would need to discuss with your probation officer when you are sentenced. It sounds as if you are not represented by a lawyer, and normally I would not recommend going to court without a lawyer, especially on federal criminal charges. However, that is your option.
