Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey

Minor in the Possession of Alcohol

I was recently camping, and there

was alcohol present. Almost everyone

was twenty years old. I had drank,

not even a half a cup of a mixed

drink the night before and i dont like

drinking, and I almost never drink.

The park ranger came in the morning

and found only closed cases of beer

and tequila which i did not drink. I

have never, ever been in trouble with

the law. Is there anyway that the

charges could be lessened, or should

I just plea guilty? Also the officer

claimed this was like an arrest, is

that true? If so, he did not read us

our miranda rights.

You really should have an attorney. I never suggest just pleading guilty out right. There is always something an attorney can do. You probably have several good defenses.

My initial consultations are always free, so call me at 732/247/3340 to discuss your case.
