Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey

Money awarded by judge, never collected

My husband, a police officer, was seriously injured by a criminal suspect during an arrest attempt 20 years ago. A judge awarded my husband a sum of money, but he could never collect it because the suspect moved out of state. My husband has since retired on a disability, then passed away recently. Is there any way that I can locate this individual and collect the money as a surviving spouse, to help with my 3 children's college expenses?

Hopefully, the judgment has been kept alive. If so, I have ways to help you find out about the debtor, and if there is any money there.

Call me to discuss.

Judgments are good for twenty years and then this period can be extended another twenty years. First you need to get the judgment extended. Having done that you can then proceed to find the individual and execute upon the judgment.

Now,with computers, it is much easier to find people. Trillions of bits of information are stored

on computers, available to law enforcement and lawyers.

Call me if you like.
