Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey

Municipal Ordinance

My roommate had a party last night. The cops came, and one of his friends got me from my room. I went outside and the cop asked for ID from all of us. He returned with a noise violation ticket issued in my name. I didn't even have the party. I'm not really friends with my roommate since i rent at this house now. I don't want to pay because he had a loud party that i had nothing to do with. We all have seperate leases so i don't think i should be responsible for any of his actions.

Re: Municipal Ordinance

Go to court and tell this to the prosecutor. Hire a lawyer if you can afford one.

Call me if you like.

Re: Municipal Ordinance

My office is in New Brunswick and I deal with these all of the time. You could pay up to $2000. Crazy huh? Worse yet, it doesn't matter that it wasn't your party. Call me to discuss.

Re: Municipal Ordinance

The only way to beat this summons is to take it to court and either just co0nvince the prosecutor to drop the charge (which is not likely) or to take your case to trial and testify about what you just said in your e-mail. I am an attorney who has handled many cases similar to yours in various courts throughout New Jersey in the past. If you would like to talk about how I can assist you please feel free to contact me. I never charge for simply talking to a person about their case. Thank you.

Sincerely yours, -Ronald Aronds, Esq.-
