Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey

my neighbor keeps taking pictures of my 8 yr. old daughter and 9 year old son and constantly harasses my family what can i do.i call the cops and document everything with pictures and witnesess.i have been assaulted,he grabbed my son by the arm and threatened him,put his foot in my front door so my wife couldnt close the door after he came over banging on our door yelling about charges we filed,cops told him and his wife and daughter to stay away from our apartment.they live up the hill from us and have no reason to come near my house.and still harass anyway.i have to go to court on june 21,2010.i am also a state correction officer and do not want to retaliate but am at my breaking point with this.

You should ask the prosecutor to make staying away a condition of this guy's bail. When he violates he will be jailed.

You might be able to file charges of harassment and commence a civil suit on the basis of intentional infliction of emotional distress...You need a lawyer...I would hope your union has attorneys that would help you....You do not need the stress, and your family deserves peace of mind...I believe you are in Ocean County....Go talk to your local police department ....
