Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey
Nj2c:33-4a
My friend's husband is having an affair with a dancer from a strip club. Last Friday night I was goiong to another friend's restaurant in the town the dancer lives. While driving there I wound up behind the dancer's BMW (which was purchased by my friend's husband). I pulled into the parking lot of the restaurant and she continued to wherever she was going. On Monday she went to Woodbridge Police and filed harrassment charges against me. How can driving to a restaurant in the same town be harrassment? If she thought I was harrassing her why didn't she have the police come to the restaurant on Friday night to question me? Can this charge possibly stick?

It is possible for you to be convicted of this charge. Obviously the person at issue felt intimidated enough, and didn't believe that it was just coincidence that you were behind her, to convince the police to allow her to file this complaint. If you are convicted you will have a record for violating the NJ criminal code. I am an attorney who has handled many cases similar to yours, including in the Woodbridge Municipal Court, in the past. I would like to discuss your case with you in more detail. Please contact me about this. I never charge for simply talking to a person about their case. Thank you.

Sounds like garbage and you should act fast to crush this charge! You can even file criminal and/or civil complaints against her for doing this.
