If the charge is to be heard in municipal court it is a disorderly person offense and has a maximum jail sentence of six months and a maximum fine of $1,000.00. If the matter is to be heard in Superior Court it is a fourth degree crime and has a maximum jail sentence of 18 months and a maximum fine of $15,000.00.
