N.J.S.2c:33-2a
Son was arrested and charged with the stature / is is a minor offense/ verbal abuse to police officer & threw ticket out window of car twice

It is still a criminal offense and it could impact him for school, work, etc. As a result, I strongly suggest that he have an attorney help him with this.

This is a disorderly persons offense. While not serious (a first offense will most likely result with a fine)the conviction will remain on his record for at least five years and may cause him problems when seeking employment. I'd be happy to speak with you at no cost to discuss this further.
