Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey

past child abuse

My daughter inlaw revealed to me that her father was a child abuser when she married my son. She never left her father alone with my grandson. Now, they are having marital problems and her father is back to his controlling nature. He wasn't able to exert his power when my son was there. How can I protect my grandson from his abusive (Physically and Mentally) ways. I have seen his dramatics at work, and she has been exhibiting a controlling nature also. No one can take care of the baby but her. This is my problem, I don't know how to handle the situation without her and her father going off the deep end, but if she continues to act in this manner (I don't think she realizes it) where to I turn to for protection of the baby? thank you, donna

Re: past child abuse

You have a difficult problem which ;you can try to solve by applying for custody of the child or other relief. You should consult with an attorney near where you live. I see that you appear to live in Monmouth County. My office is in Hackensack. I am willing to handle matter in all twenty-one counties of New Jersey, but it would be quite a hike for your to drive to Hackensack to see me. 800 273 7933 is my telephone number if you wish to speak with me.
