penalties for n.j.s. 2c:35-10a(4)

with n.j.s. 2c:35-10a(4), if the amount is small (less than five grams) and an out-of-state defendant enters a guilty fee, what is the average total for fines and what is the possibility/probability of getting probation along with the other penalties

You are looking at about $900. With no prior record, a lawyer should have no problem keeping your DL and making sure you don't have a criminal record. If you are out of state, a lawyer can handle this without you going to court.

There are other options than simply pleading guilty. I've defended cases like this for more than 17 years, and let me tell you that you can do a lot with this type of case that will not result in a drug conviction.
